Jeon Young-hyun, Vice Chairman and Head of Samsung DS Division, met with NVIDIA CEO, Jensen Huang, to discuss expanding cooperation in next-generation HBM and foundry services. The two sides exchanged views on medium and long term cooperation plans, including the supply of HBM4, as well as joint development of HBM4E, HBM5, and next-generation semiconductors. Jeon stated that in the short term, stable supply of HBM4 and SOCAMM this year is very important. Samsung and NVIDIA held in-depth discussions on long-term cooperation, including the supply of HBM4E and HBM5 starting next year. He also noted that Samsung is already collaborating with Nvidia to produce autonomous driving chips and NVIDIA Groq LPU chips using 4nm and 8nm processes, and that they have also discussed cooperation on next-generation products.
