SK Hynix expects that in the second quarter, DRAM bit shipments will increase 7%-9% quarter-on-quarter, and NAND bit shipments (including Solidigm) will increase 16%-17% quarter-on-quarter.

The results significantly exceeded the previous record set in 2024. The annual revenue increased by more than 30 trillion won while the annual operating profit nearly doubled year-on-year, marking the highest annual performance in the company’s history.

Solidigm said it is currently working with global customers on certification for the D5-P5336 and plans to start sales in the first quarter of next year.

Due to the strong sales of QLC enterprise-grade solid-state drives, Solidigm's Dalian wafer fab, a subsidiary of SK Hynix, will continue to use the FG (Floating Gate) NAND flash process and receive additional equipment investment to boost production capabilities.

According to a report from the Korean Economic Daily（hankyung）, Solidigm, a NAND flash memory and solid-state drive company, is considering conducting an Initial Public Offering (IPO) in the United States.

QLC technology allows for the storage of four bits per cell, compared to three bits for TLC, and two and one bit for Multi-Level Cell (MLC) and Single-Level Cell (SLC), respectively. This means QLC NAND can further increase storage capacity compared to other NAND types.

At Computex 2024, held from June 4-7 in Taipei, SK hynix demonstrated its latest advancements in AI memory solutions under the theme "Memory, The Power of AI." The company highlighted its innovative products, including AI server solutions, cutting-edge memory technologies for on-device AI PCs, and consumer-grade SSDs.

SK hynix Inc. announced today that it recorded 12.43 trillion won in revenues, 2.886 trillion won in operating profit (with an operating margin of 23%), and 1.917 trillion won in net profit (with a net margin of 15%) in the first quarter.

According to CFM data, the global NAND Flash market revenue in 3Q23 increased QoQ by7.5% to US$9.81 billion, and the DRAM market increased QoQ by 22.4% to US$13.06 billion.

According to CFM data, the global NAND Flash market revenue in 2Q23 increased QoQ by 5% to US$9.13 billion, and the DRAM market increased QoQ by 11.9% to US$10.675 billion; the overall memory market revenue in 2Q23 was US$19.803 billion, increased 9% QoQ but decrease 54% YoY.
