Xiaomi Unveils First "Mid-Fold" Phone, Debuts LPDDR6 Memory

On the evening of September 7, Xiaomi unveiled its foldable smartphone, the Xiaomi 18 Fold, positioning it as a "mid-fold" device that sits between large-fold and small-fold form factors. The phone starts at RMB 10,999. In terms of performance, the Xiaomi 18 Fold debuts the XRING O3 self-developed flagship AI SoC, built on a 3nm process. The top-tier version is equipped with CXMT LPDDR6 memory, marking the world's first commercial deployment of LPDDR6, delivering a memory bandwidth of up to 113.8 GB/s.
