Report: Samsung Plans to Build New DRAM Factory with a Planned Monthly Capacity of Around 100,000 Wafers

According to reports from multiple South Korean media outlets, Samsung Electronics plans to build a new DRAM wafer fabrication plant at its Giheung complex in Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. The project is planned to have a monthly production capacity of approximately 100,000 wafers, with a total investment expected to reach tens of trillions of Korean won. Construction may commence as early as the third quarter of 2026.
