According to media reports, as the growing demand for high bandwidth memory (HBM) from the AI buildout, Samsung has booked as much as 70% of its production capacity to cater to long-term agreements for memory chip supply lasting as far as 2031. Among Samsung's customers for the LTAs are Microsoft, NVIDIA and Google. These agreements are providing Samsung's customers with significant price reductions compared to the HBM spot price, which is as much as five times higher than that of the LTAs.
