Phison's January Revenue Hits Record High, Focusing Resources on AI and High-End Storage Markets

Philink Electronics' January revenue reached a record high of NT$10.452 billion (approximately US$334 million), a year-on-year increase of 189%. CEO Jiancheng Pan stated that total shipments of controller chips increased by 160% year-on-year, while shipments of high-margin industrial-grade chips and bit chips also increased by nearly 70% and 51% respectively, demonstrating the significant effectiveness of its high-end customized market strategy. Currently, NAND Flash supply remains tight, with manufacturers adopting conservative expansion strategies, resulting in a global supply gap of nearly 20%. Phison is focusing its resources on high-value-added markets such as enterprise-grade SSDs and AI storage to address strong demand and enhance profitability. The company believes that even with increased production capacity, it will be difficult to reverse the global shortage and price increases in the short term.
