TWSC officially launched its first self-developed enterprise solid-state drive (eSSD) controller chip, the H3361, on April 9. This marks a key breakthrough for the company in core upstream storage components.
The main highlight of the controller is its support for dual modes: PCIe NVMe and SATA AHCI, with the ability to reuse the same PHY interface. Through board-level jumpers and firmware coordination on the same PCB design, the mode switching can be achieved, balancing compatibility and flexibility. In terms of performance, the PCIe mode supports Gen3×2 bandwidth and complies with the NVMe 1.3 protocol. At the same time, it is compatible with the SATA 3.0 standard, meeting the diverse scenario requirements of enterprise storage applications.
