SMI's New Taipei Headquarters Planned for 2030, Dual Sites to Boost Operational and R&D Efficiency

On April 13, SMI held a groundbreaking ceremony for its new Taipei corporate headquarters in Nangang, Taipei. The new building is expected to be completed and operated by 2030, which is expected to form a "Taipei–Hsinchu Zhubei dual-city operational framework" together with its Hsinchu Zhubei headquarters. Silicon Motion's Chairman, James Chow, stated in his speech that the future connection between the two major sites in Taipei and Zhubei will enhance the company's overall operational and R&D efficiency.
