Winbond Electronics: Q1 Net Profit Turns Profitable YoY, CMS Revenue Share Rises 12 Percentage Points MoM

Winbond Electronics held its 2026 Q1 earnings conference. In the first quarter of 2026, the company’s consolidated revenue reached NT$38.253 billion, representing a year-on-year increase of 91.3% and a quarter-on-quarter rise of 43.7%. The gross profit margin stood at 53.4%, up 27 percentage points year-on-year and 11 percentage points quarter-on-quarter. Net profit attributable to parent company shareholders after tax came to NT$10.114 billion, turning profitable year-on-year and surging 195.5% quarter-on-quarter. By business segment, revenue from Custom Memory Solutions (CMS) jumped 276% yoy and 93% quarter-on-quarter. Its revenue proportion in total revenue rose 12 percentage points quarter-over-quarter to 47%. Driven by continued shipment growth of DDR4/LPDDR4, overall shipments increased by 24% to 26% quarter-on-quarter, while average selling prices (ASP) climbed 51% to 53% quarter-on-quarter. Flash memory business revenue grew 23% quarter-on-quarter, accounting for 32% of total revenue, down 5 pcts from the previous quarter. Although flash memory shipments declined 11% to 13% quarter-on-quarter, product ASP rose 34% to 36% quarter-on-quarter, with the shipment proportion of high-capacity products continuing to trend upward. Looking ahead to the second quarter, 24nm SLC NAND is expected to gradually deliver substantial revenue contributions.
