According to Japanese media reports, Fujitsu will join the SAIMEMORY project led by SoftBank with Intel's participation, a new memory R&D initiative aiming to commercialize a High Bandwidth Memory (HBM) alternative. The project targets achieving 2-3 times the capacity of HBM while consuming 50% of the power at an equal or lower price point.
