According to South Korean media ZDNetKorea, to meet the surging storage demand driven by artificial intelligence, SK Hynix plans to launch a "conversion investment" in cutting-edge NAND flash in the second quarter of this year. This investment will expand production of 321-layer 9th generation NAND at its Cheongju M15 plant, increasing monthly capacity from approximately 20,000 wafers to approximately 30,000 wafers.
