Micron Resumes DDR4 and LPDDR4 Production

Micron Technology recently announced that it has officially initiated the production of 1α (1-alpha) DRAM at its Manassas, Virginia facility. Representing the most advanced memory technology to date in the United States, this process will be utilized to manufacture DDR4 and LPDDR4 products.Full-scale mass production is expected to be achieved by the end of this year, which will quadruple the facility's DDR4 wafer supply. These products are primarily targeted at customers in sectors with long product lifecycles—such as automotive, defense, aerospace, industrial, networking, and medical devices—and explicitly exclude the data center market.
