Samsung Electronics Accelerates Construction of Second Taylor Plant in U.S., Urges Supply Chain to Pre-Certify Equipment

According to South Korean media reports, ahead of the groundbreaking for the second Taylor plant later this year, Samsung Electronics is actively pushing forward with the certification process for equipment by its partners. Recently, the company has requested multiple semiconductor equipment suppliers to obtain SEMI certification before introducing equipment into the plant. SEMI certification is a standard for evaluating the safety of semiconductor equipment and is required before equipment can be exported overseas.
