Nvidia Invests $2 Billion in Coherent

Nvidia recently announced a multi-year strategic partnership agreement with optical technology company Coherent to jointly advance advanced optical technology innovation for next-generation artificial intelligence infrastructure. Under the agreement, the two companies will engage in a non-exclusive collaboration, including multi-billion dollar procurement commitments from Nvidia and future access to channels and production capacity for advanced laser and optical network products. Simultaneously, Nvidia will invest $2 billion in Coherent to support its R&D, operations, and expansion of its U.S. manufacturing capabilities.
