TSMC recently stated that its Nanjing fab has obtained the 2026 annual license from the U.S. government, allowing it to continue importing American chip manufacturing equipment and ensuring uninterrupted fab operations and product deliveries.
In a statement, TSMC noted that the U.S. Department of Commerce has issued an annual export license to the Nanjing fab, enabling the supply of U.S. export-controlled items to the facility without the need for separate supplier licenses. Issued before the expiration of the original Validated End-User (VEU) authorization on December 31, 2025, this license guarantees the continuity of wafer fab operations and product shipments.
