TSMC Reportedly Plans Price Hikes of Up to 25% in 2027

By: M 10 hours ago

According to media reports, TSMC plans to raise foundry prices for both advanced and mature process nodes starting next year, in order to reflect rising costs of materials, production equipment, and overseas fab expansion. It is reported that base price increases for 7nm and more advanced processes will be roughly 5%–10%, depending on the customer and product. For additional orders of high-performance computing (HPC) chips that exceed customers' original forecasts, TSMC plans to impose an extra 10%–15% charge on top of the base increase, with total price hikes for some advanced processes potentially exceeding 10%. In addition, reports indicate that TSMC is considering gradual price adjustments rather than a one‑time sharp increase, so as to ease the burden on its customers.
