According to South Korean media reports, Samsung Electronics has set a target of September this year for the completion of development of its 7th-generation 10-nanometer-class DRAM (1d DRAM), and plans to initiate the production handover process in December, with first mass production expected by the end of next year. It is said that the yield improvement rate for Samsung's 1d DRAM has exceeded expectations, with thermal test yields in high-temperature environments already reaching target levels. The company is currently focusing on securing yields in low-temperature cold tests. Samsung has announced that it will apply 1d DRAM to HBM5E, with products expected to be launched around 2030. Samsung stated that it cannot confirm the specific progress of its R&D efforts.
