According to a report by Korean media outlet Newspim, SK Hynix is assembling an elite HBM design team in Silicon Valley, the United States, to strengthen its "joint design" collaboration framework with major global technology companies. This move marks a shift in the HBM industry from the traditional "off-the-shelf supply" model to a collaborative R&D model in which SK Hynix is deeply involved from the early development stage of customers' next-generation AI chips.
