Phison's R&D Expenses in 2026 Expected to Exceed NT$50 Billion

According to media reports, Phison CEO Pua Khein-Seng revealed that Phison's R&D expenses in 2025 were about NT$13 billion. It has reached NT$24 billion in 1H2026, and may exceed NT$50 billion for the full year. Phison has established an AI team, further expanding from being an AI user to becoming a developer. It is reported that Phison Electronics' internal data center currently has 12 servers installed and 479 AI agents deployed, and in September it independently developed 74 new AI agents, which not only effectively alleviated the pressure of engineer talent shortage but also saved the company about 235 engineers' worth of labor cost on paper, demonstrating substantial benefit.
