According to media reports, Apple, Nvidia, AMD, Qualcomm, MediaTek and others, seeking to capitalize on AI and high-performance computing (HPC) opportunities, are said to have increased their booking for TSMC's 2nm capacity by 10% to 20% recently. As a result, TSMC is accelerating its expansion, with 2nm monthly capacity by the end of this year expected to reach 120,000 wafers, higher than the previously estimated 90,000 to 100,000 wafers, effectively pulling a target originally set for 2027 forward by one year. In response, TSMC said it does not comment on customer information or market rumor.
