Intel CEO Chen Liwu Confirms Continued Development of Data Center-Grade GPUs

According to foreign media reports, Intel CEO Chen Liwu confirmed to Reuters at the Cisco AI Summit in San Francisco that the company plans to build its own GPU product line, focusing on the data center market dominated by Nvidia. To advance this plan, Chen Liwu personally recruited former Qualcomm Senior Vice President Eric Demers to serve as Intel's new Chief GPU Architect. Demers officially joined the company last month and reports directly to the head of data center chips. Furthermore, Chen Liwu revealed that Intel's 14A process technology has attracted attention from several customers, and mass production ramp-up is expected to begin later this year.
