According to the report by Korea Economic Daily, Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix have been selected as the sole suppliers of the sixth-generation High Bandwidth Memory (HBM4) for NVIDIA's next-generation AI accelerator, Vera Rubin. It gives South Korea's two memory manufacturers a new competitive edge over the American company Micron Technology in the race for high-end AI chips.
