Firmus raises $505 million Series E round, NVIDIA participates

Australian artificial intelligence infrastructure builder Firmus has officially announced the completion of a $505 million strategic equity financing round — its Series E. The round was led by Coatue Management, with AI chip giant NVIDIA making an additional investment. Following this round, Firmus is valued at $5.5 billion. The funds will be primarily used to expand AI infrastructure deployment in the Asia-Pacific region, deploy NVIDIA's next-generation Vera Rubin chips, and advance the construction of the Southgate project.
