Report: MacBook Neo 2 to Feature 12GB RAM, Supporting Apple's Most Powerful On-Device AI Model

Reports indicate that the MacBook Neo 2, expected to launch in 2027, will feature 12GB of RAM, making it Apple's most affordable laptop capable of running its most powerful on-device AI model. The report notes that due to design limitations of the A18 Pro chip, the current MacBook Neo is restricted to a maximum of 8GB of unified memory. However, the upcoming MacBook Neo 2 is expected to be equipped with the A19 Pro chip and 12GB of RAM, representing a 50% increase in capacity.
