Sources Say SK Hynix's HBM4 Shipments Reduced by 20-30%, Expanding Supply of HBM3E and Other Products

According to a report by Korean media ZDnet, due to NVIDIA encountering difficulties in ramping up mass production of its next-generation AI accelerator "Vera Rubin," SK Hynix's HBM4 shipments to NVIDIA are expected to decrease by approximately 20% to 30% compared to the original plan. The reduced HBM4 capacity will be reallocated to its previous-generation product HBM3E and server DRAM.Industry sources indicate that, given the different profit margins of each product, the impact of this move on this year's overall financial performance remains to be further observed.
