According to media reports, due to Tesla's surging storage demand, Samsung’s monthly supply of 8GB GDDR6 DRAM chips to Tesla in April increased threefold compared to the average monthly level in the first quarter. Samsung has ramped up production at its Hwaseong plant in South Korea to meet customers' DRAM demands. Samsung also plans to start producing advanced artificial intelligence chips for Tesla at its Texas plant in the second half of 2026.
