Renewed stockpiling by some channel customers has driven broad price hikes for channel SSDs and DDR UDIMM

Although last month coincided with the Spring Festival holiday, during which channel customers' stockpiling nearly came to a standstill and memory manufacturers maintained a strict inventory control attitude, overall market transactions remained relatively subdued. As the market gradually returns to normalcy after the holiday, some core channel customers, driven by continuously declining inventory levels, have begun to initiate stockpiling one after another. On the seller's side, memory manufacturers, affected by the persistent shortage of channel resources and significantly increased costs, continue to control shipments even in the face of some demand, resulting in substantial price increases across the board for channel SSDs and DDR UDIMM this week.

Similarly, low-capacity memory products such as eMMC and industrial SSDs have also seen some pulling activity, driving moderate price increases. Currently in the first half of March, benefiting from higher unit prices for certain product lines, some memory manufacturers have nearly achieved their Q1 performance targets. Their focus is now on delivering already signed orders and controlling the pace of pushing new orders as much as possible. At the same time, memory manufacturers are also expressing concerns that the prices of NAND newly procured this month may continue to rise, further pushing up costs, necessitating close attention to the pricing levels of relevant resources.
