According to Herald Business, SK hynix is set to begin full-scale mass production of LPDDR6 memory in the second half of this year, following the completion of its development in March last year. It is reported that SK hynix's LPDDR6 employs the 10nm sixth-generation (1c) process, delivering improvements in both data processing speed and power efficiency compared to the previous generation.
The report states that Xiaomi is expected to become SK hynix's first customer for LPDDR6, with the memory planned for integration into Xiaomi's next-generation flagship smartphones. SK hynix began its business partnership with Xiaomi in 2013, supplying LPDDR3 memory for some models, and has continued to supply DRAM products up to the most recent LPDDR5X offerings.
However, regarding the supply to Xiaomi, SK hynix stated that it cannot confirm details concerning specific customers.
