Data from China's Ministry of Commerce shows that the country's e-commerce sector maintained steady development in the first two months of 2026, achieving a good start for high-quality growth. Digital consumption remained stable with positive momentum; industrial e-commerce accelerated digital and intelligent transformation; and the "Silk Road E-commerce" initiative continued to enhance its global brand effect. According to monitoring of key platforms under the E-commerce Big Data program, smart products performed notably well, with online retail sales of smart glasses and window-cleaning robots increasing by 183.5% and 130.8% year-on-year, respectively.
