Meta Raises VR Headset Prices Amid Memory Price Hikes

Meta announced that starting April 19, 2026, it will raise the prices of the Meta Quest 3 and Meta Quest 3S headsets. The entry-level Quest 3S headset will see a price increase of $50, while the high-end Quest 3 model will go up by $100. The company stated that they are making this change because the cost of building high-performance VR hardware has risen significantly. The global surge in the price of critical components — specifically memory chips — is impacting almost every category of consumer electronics, including VR.
