OpenAI in Talks with Samsung for HBM4 Supply to Support Titan Chip Development

According to foreign media reports, OpenAI has begun establishing an independent cooperation channel with Samsung Electronics to secure High Bandwidth Memory (HBM). Industry insiders revealed that OpenAI CFO Sarah Friar met privately with Samsung Electronics executives during her visit to Korea last month to intensively discuss the supply and expansion of 6th-generation HBM (HBM4). The two sides are reported to have exchanged views on HBM4 mass production timing, supply stability, and the mid-to-long-term cooperation structure.
