Samsung Labor-Management Talks Expected to Decide on Agreement or Mediation Proposal Around 10 PM Tonight

According to the latest reports from Korean media, the labor-management negotiations at Samsung are expected to reach a decision on an agreement or a mediation proposal around 10:00 PM local time tonight.

Separately, other Korean media outlets reported that Samsung Electronics has issued an official letter to the Samsung Group-affiliated cross-enterprise union, requesting its cooperation in enforcing the court's provisional injunction ruling issued on May 18. The company has explicitly specified that the total number of required employees will not exceed 7,087. This includes a total of 2,454 personnel in the Memory Business Division, comprising 1,964 in the Technology Group, 120 in the FAB Group, 144 in the Post-FAB Group, and 76 in the EDS Group. Samsung also stated that it will formulate daily work schedules for the period from May 21 to June 7, within the required personnel limits for each department.
