OpenAI's Q1 Revenue Reportedly Reaches $5.7 Billion, Surpassing Anthropic

According to foreign media reports, OpenAI generated approximately $5.7 billion in revenue in the first quarter, roughly $1 billion higher than Anthropic for the same period. OpenAI's growth was driven by rising use of its coding tool Codex, the expansion of its business-focused products and early advertising experiments on ChatGPT. The company has also been expanding premium options for heavy users of its AI. Earlier reports indicated that Anthropic is expected to more than double its revenue in the second quarter to $10.9 billion, up from $4.8 billion in Q1, and achieve its first quarterly operating profit. It is reported that Anthropic's Q2 operating profit is projected at about $559 million. OpenAI's second-quarter earnings forecast remains undisclosed at present.
