In order to follow the memory market change, CFM will add DDR5 UDIMM, SODIMM, and LPDDR5X Products quotations on May 19th, 2026. New products:DDR5 UDIMM 8GB 5600、DDR5 UDIMM 8GB 6000;DDR5 SODIMM 8GB 5600、DDR5 SODIMM 16GB 5600;LPDDR5X 32Gb、LPDDR5X 48Gb、LPDDR5X 64Gb、LPDDR5X 96Gb、LPDDR5X 128Gb

We are currently in the traditional off-season, and since the second quarter, actual sell-through from downstream customers in the channel market has remained persistently sluggish. Although the 618 shopping festival is approaching, some channel brand customers show little enthusiasm for participating in major e-commerce platform promotions. Looking at a longer timeline, current channel memory products, including SSDs and DDR modules, have accumulated excessive price increases compared to the same period last year. In particular, channel memory modules have generally risen by 3 to 5 times year-on-year. Against such a high base, even discounting and promotional pricing may provide limited boost to shipments, while the risk of losses becomes greater. Currently, channel customers are mostly focused on digesting inventory. Coupled with recent moderate declines in low-end resource prices, memory manufacturers are making limited price adjustments to secure spot transactions. This week, channel SSD, DDR4, and DDR5 UDIMM prices continue to see slight downward revisions.

Since the second half of last year, due to original manufacturers' long-term suspension of high-grade consumer DDR4 die supply, memory manufacturers have actively introduced secondary resources and Taiwan Region of China original resources as alternatives, while also pushing customers to accelerate adaptation and migration to DDR5 solutions. Meanwhile, the sharp rise in DDR module prices has led to a clear trend of capacity reduction among PC OEMs, with mid-to-low-end models increasingly opting for 8GB DDR4 SODIMM. Additionally, aggressive pricing by some industry manufacturers and the continued interference of various resource solutions have caused prices for industry DDR4 SODIMM to drop this week, while DDR5 SODIMM remain relatively stable.

Currently, LPDDR5X 245ball, designed for mid-to-low-end smartphones, has entered mass production at original manufacturers. In response to this upstream supply shift, memory manufacturers have promptly developed and mass-produced LP5X 245ball products for commercial adoption. To encourage more customers to upgrade to LP5X 245ball, current pricing for LP4X and LP5X 245ball is the same at equivalent capacities, and 32Gb LP5X 245ball is even more price-competitive than LP4X. As more CPU solutions compatible with LP5X 245ball, such as those from MediaTek and Qualcomm, continue to be launched, LP5X 245ball will further accelerate its penetration into mid-to-low-end devices. Moreover, LPDDR5X 315ball, with its low power consumption, significantly extends laptop battery life, and frequencies above 8533Mbps provide higher bandwidth. Its compact board-mounted design also greatly saves internal space, which can be used for larger batteries or improved cooling. The adoption of LPDDR5X 315ball in thin-and-light laptops is expanding.

On the upstream resource side, prices for Flash Wafer, DDR4, and DDR5 remain largely stable.
