According to South Korean media reports, Han Jin-man, President of the Foundry Business at Samsung Electronics' DS Division, said that under the existing performance bonus system, they expect to turn a profit next year. Han pointed out that the cost burden of paying special performance bonuses, along with delays in transitioning from a mobile-centric business structure, insufficient technological maturity, an order portfolio with low profitability, and a lack of effective operational strategies for mature (legacy) processes, are the reasons behind the forecast of continued losses this year and next.
