MediaTek has released its revenue data for May 2026. Consolidated revenue for May reached NT$47.434 billion, up 1.49% month-over-month and 4.99% year-over-year, marking the second-highest level for the single month in both this year and historically for the same period. Revenue for the first five months of 2026 totaled NT$243.321 billion, with a 1.59% decrease compared to the same period last year.
MediaTek previously estimated that second-quarter revenue would range between NT$140.2 billion and NT$149.2 billion. According to the latest data, MediaTek's combined revenue for April and May has already reached NT$94.171 billion. To achieve the low end of its Q2 guidance, the company would need only approximately NT$46.029 billion in June. To reach the high end, it would need about NT$55.029 billion. They believe that based on current order and shipment conditions, MediaTek is likely to successfully meet its second-quarter operational targets.
Regarding the outlook for the second quarter, MediaTek CEO, Rick Tsai, previously pointed out that global demand for smartphones remains relatively conservative, and the handset chip business is therefore expected to show a sequential decline quarter-over-quarter. However, MediaTek is actively advancing its businesses in other areas. NVIDIA recently officially entered the Windows on Arm PC chip market, launching the super chip RTX Spark designed specifically for personal agents. The CPU integrated into this chip was developed in collaboration with MediaTek.
