According to media reports, in response to the recent market-wide price increases in memory and other key components that have drawn significant attention, Luca Rossi, Executive Vice President of Lenovo and President of the Intelligent Devices Group (IDG), stated that the current dynamics in the memory market are "unprecedented" and present a challenge to the industry as a whole. However, he noted that Lenovo is in a relatively favorable position.
Luca stated that the company has secured adequate supply, but acknowledged that Lenovo cannot be entirely immune to the impact of rising costs, making price increases a continuing challenge. At the 2026 ISC Conference, the Lenovo spokesperson indicated that price increases will ultimately become the new normal from 2030 and beyond.
It is understood that Lenovo issued price adjustment notices in early March, initiating selective price hikes, with retail prices of some models rising by more than 1,000 yuan compared to last year. Earlier reports also indicated that Lenovo plans to implement a unified price increase across all product categories starting in July, with the magnitude roughly in line with previous adjustments.
