Reports Indicate that Samsung Will Convert Last 2D NAND Line to 1c DRAM

According to South Korean media reports, Samsung will halt 2D NAND production at its Hwaseong Campus Line 12 in March. The production line will be converted for 1c DRAM manufacturing, marking Samsung's official cessation of 2D NAND flash production. Other DRAM production lines at Hwaseong Campus are also undergoing conversion to produce 1c DRAM. The line conversion is expected to improve the overall DRAM production efficiency at Hwaseong Campus, with 1c DRAM output accounting for a significant portion of Samsung's total DRAM production capacity.
