Tesla CEO Elon Musk: AI6 Chip Expected to Tape Out in December, Single Chip May Match A Dual SoC AI5

Tesla CEO Elon Musk posted that, with some luck and acceleration using AI, Tesla might be able to tape out AI6 in December. Elon Musk stated that AI5 is primarily optimized for AI edge compute in Optimus and Robotaxi and its performance will far exceed its specifications. However, there is still significant room for improvement. In the same half reticle and process node, a single AI6 chip has the potential to match a dual SoC AI5.
