STMicroelectronics Officially Delivers STM32 MCUs Made in China

On March 23, 2026, STMicroelectronics (ST) announced that the first batch of 40nm STM32 microcontrollers (MCUs) manufactured by Huahong Grace Semiconductor has begun delivery to customers in China. This localized production utilizes the same 40nm embedded non-volatile memory (eNVM) technology and quality control standards as ST's global foundries, ensuring product performance is identical to overseas models. Packaging and testing are completed by ST's Shenzhen factory and local packaging and testing partners.

Localization begins with the high-performance STM32H7 series and will expand to the STM32H5 and STM32C5 series by the end of 2026. ST thus becomes the first semiconductor company in the industry with a dual supply chain, providing Chinese customers with two identical supply options: local manufacturing and overseas manufacturing.
