IBM announced a partnership with Arm to jointly develop a new "dual-architecture hardware" designed to help enterprises run future AI and data-intensive workloads. This collaboration combines the strengths of both companies to build a flexible and scalable computing platform, focusing on three key areas: developing virtualization technologies that enable Arm-based software environments to run on IBM's enterprise computing platforms; meeting the demands of modern AI and data-intensive application workloads; and creating a shared technology layer across platforms to enhance flexibility in the software ecosystem and application deployment management.
