SEMI: 2025 Global Semiconductor Equipment Sales Reach $135.1 Billion

According to a report recently released by SEMI, worldwide sales of semiconductor manufacturing equipment totaled $135.1 billion in 2025, a 15% increase from $117.1 billion in 2024, marking a new all-time high. The growth was primarily driven by capacity expansion in advanced logic, memory, and AI-related applications.

By segment, front-end wafer processing equipment grew 12%, while back-end test equipment surged 55% and assembly & packaging equipment increased 21%. Regionally, Asia continued to dominate the market, with Mainland China, Taiwan, China, and South Korea together accounting for 79% of global sales. Among them, spending in Taiwan, China jumped 90% to $31.5 billion, South Korea rose 26%, while Mainland China maintained a high level of equipment expenditure.
