Microsoft Surface PC Prices Rise Driven by Rising Memory Costs

Microsoft has raised prices across the board for Surface Laptop and Surface Pro devices on its official U.S. website, with both mid-range and flagship product lines now priced significantly higher than just a few weeks ago. The starting prices for the flagship Surface Laptop 7 and Surface Pro 11 are now $500 higher than their launch prices. Regarding the price hike, Microsoft stated in a release: "Due to recent increases in memory and component costs, Microsoft is updating the prices of current-generation Surface hardware on the Microsoft Store. We remain committed to delivering value to our customers and partners, while upholding our high standards of quality and innovation."
