According to Taiwanese media reports citing supply chain sources, TSMC is set to raise its 3nm wafer prices again in the second half of this year, with an increase of up to 15%, followed by another 5–10% rise next year. Industry sources point out that with surging demand for AI accelerators, custom ASICs, flagship smartphone chips, and high-performance computing (HPC), TSMC’s 3nm capacity remains fully utilized. Analysts note that 3nm has now become the most mature and stable mass-production node for AI chips. Compared to 2nm, which is still in the early ramp-up stage, 3nm offers greater production maturity and cost advantages for AI customers.
