Intel Names Craig H. Barratt as Its Next Chairman

On March 3 local time, Intel announced that its board has elected Craig H. Barratt as chairman, effective after the company's annual shareholders' meeting on May 13. He will succeed Frank Yeary, who will retire from the board and not stand for re-election at the annual meeting. Barratt joined Intel's board last year. He previously led Atheros Communications, which was acquired by Qualcomm, and held senior positions at Alphabet Inc.'s Google. He also served as CEO of the startup Barefoot Networks, which was acquired by Intel in 2019.
