Shenzhen: Focus on Developing Enterprise-Grade SSDs and In-Storage Computing

The Shenzhen Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology recently issued the "Shenzhen Action Plan for Accelerating the High-Quality Development of the Artificial Intelligence Server Industry Chain (2026-2028)". The plan proposes that by 2028, the entire industry chain's production capacity and shipments will achieve a leapfrog growth, with a significant increase in global market share in key areas such as core chips, storage, PCBs, and optical modules.

Regarding storage products, the plan supports the research and development and application of storage chips, accelerates breakthroughs in advanced packaging technologies for storage chips, and focuses on developing high-end storage products such as enterprise-grade SSDs and enterprise-grade memory modules. It also emphasizes strengthening the research and development of new technologies such as near-memory packaging and in-store computing, enhancing high-end storage supply capabilities, and creating a high-end storage product supply system adapted to large-scale model training and supercomputing centers.
