Samsung Launches First PCIe Gen6 eSSD PM1763, Available in Capacities from 4TB to 64TB

Samsung Semiconductor has officially launched its first PCIe Gen6 enterprise SSD, the PM1763. Compared to the previous generation, this drive delivers up to 2x higher performance and up to 1.8x improved power efficiency, with sequential read speeds of reaching up to 28,400 MB/s and write speeds of up to 21,000 MB/s. The PM1763 supports E1.S, E3.S, and U.2 (U.2 form factor limited to PCIe Gen5 interface). It is built on PCIe Gen6-based NVMe 2.1 and OCP 2.6 standards and available in capacities ranging from 4TB to 64TB.
