In the second quarter of 2026, MediaTek reached consolidated net sales of NT$152.183 billion, up 1.2% year-on-year and 2% quarter-on-quarter. Consolidated operating income was NT$22.868 billion, down 22.2% year-on-year and 0.1% quarter-on-quarter. Net income attributable to owners of the parent was NT$24.34 billion, with a decrease of 12.6% year-on-year; net profit margin stood at 16.2%, down 2.5 percentage points year-on-year and 0.1 percentage point quarter-on-quarter. Consolidated gross margin was 46.2%, down 2.9 percentage points year-on-year and 0.1 percentage point quarter-on-quarter.
The company attributed the revenue growth mainly to increased market share in its smart device platforms, which offset the decline in handset demand, while the year-on-year decreases in net income and net margin were primarily due to lower gross profit for the quarter.
Looking ahead to the third quarter, MediaTek expects consolidated revenue in the range of NT$152.2 billion to NT$159.8 billion, consolidated gross margin between 44.5% and 47.5%, and consolidated operating expense ratio between 29% and 33%.
