Tesla and SpaceX to Build Chip Factory Together in Austin

Tesla and SpaceX will launch the "Terafab" project in Austin, Texas, with a planned investment of $25 billion to build the world's largest semiconductor factory. Elon Musk revealed that the facility will have an annual computing capacity of one terawatt, adopt 2nm process technology, and cover the entire industry chain. The initial target is a monthly output of 100,000 wafers, eventually expanding to one million, with an estimated annual production of 100 to 200 billion custom chips, primarily serving autonomous driving, robotics, and orbital satellites.
