South Korea's Semiconductor Exports Surpass $30 Billion for First Time in March, Soaring 151.4% YoY

According to the latest data from the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, South Korea's exports reached a record high of $86.13 billion in March, up 48.3 percent year-on-year, marking the fastest growth since August, 1988. Monthly exports have set new records for 10 consecutive months since last June. The strong export performance in March was mainly driven by semiconductors, benefiting from rising memory chip prices and increased chip demand from AI investments. Semiconductor exports soared 151.4 percent year-on-year, surpassing the $30 billion mark for the first time to reach $32.83 billion.
